General rules
- Carry your college ID / library card; it is required at the gate and for every transaction. Cards are not transferable.
- Maintain silence. Mobile phones must be on silent. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the reading halls.
- Reference books, current periodicals, theses and items marked “reference only” are for use in the library.
- Check books for damage before borrowing. Members are responsible for loss or damage of borrowed books.
- A lost book must be replaced with the latest edition or paid for at 2× its price plus a processing fee of ₹50.00.
- Books may be renewed online from My Library if no one has reserved them and they are not overdue. Reserved books are kept for 2 day(s) after you are notified.
- Borrowing is suspended when unpaid dues reach ₹100.00.
- Due dates falling on Sundays or library holidays move to the next working day. Reminders are sent by email/SMS before the due date.
- Students and staff leaving the college must obtain a library no-dues certificate.
